About
Welcome to Waverly Long Studios!
For as long as I can remember, I always wanted to be an artist. The regimented ways of school never remotely fit into how I wanted to spend my days. After dropping out of every school I’ve ever attended, I bought an old kiln and throwing wheel and started my slow but steady journey into this field. From there I had the invaluable opportunity of working for my dear friend Talia Olmstead of White Hearth Pottery in 2019, and in 2020 Waverly Long Studios was set in motion. The first sales were made at the beloved Clarke County Farmers Market in Berryville, with pots made in the corner of my living room. From there I moved into a larger studio space in Virginia for two years, and recently have relocated to the mountains of North Carolina where I work in a beautiful communal pottery space. I’m so grateful for each and every one of you that has supported me through this journey, I hope the pieces created here are good company to you and your beautiful, unique lives. Much love to you all,
Waverly
